About us

What is Aman?

Arabic is the language of the Holy Quran, and when naming our group in Northern Ireland, we sought a term that reflected our values. The word "Aman" means "peace," "safety," and "security," which aligns with our goals as a growing community in Enniskillen. We believe everyone deserves peace and safety. Aman is also linked to "Iman," meaning "faith." By fostering peace and security, we aim to preserve the faith of our community through education, shared prayer spaces, and community-building.

Our Story

Aman Association is a County Fermanagh based charity created to fulfil the needs of the growing community of Muslims in South-West Northern Ireland.   We established ourselves as a group in 2019, after several small Muslim families who had been living in the area got together seeing the need for a more organised Muslim community. We successfuly became registered with The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland: NIC107995, in October 2020.

Our Vision & Mission

Our goal is to promote the benefit of the Muslim community in the County of Fermanagh; we aim to do this by providing a means of community congregation, delivering education, and preserving Islamic culture and heritage, with the aim of improving the conditions and meeting the needs of the Muslim community in the environs of the Fermanagh-Omagh Council area.
